Working through my frustration with textile patterns stolen by Americans from other cultures without acknowledgement or credit, I began designing fabric patterns based on my own American experience. By multiplying, tiling, splitting, mirroring, flipping and rotating photographs I made during various road trips across the United States, I designed each unique quilt square.
