These photogravure etchings are from my early days of courting this age old, temperamental technique. The images are telling of an ongoing love affair with structure, light, illusion and the tension between two and three dimensions. This analogue process puts me back in the darkroom, where I began as a photographer, and allows me to use my hands to etch the play of light and shadow into a copper plate.
